Farhan Waheed

Farhan Waheed is a graduate from the Class of 1999. He is a seasoned banker with extensive experience across multiple organizations and geographies. While he is currently employed with Standard Chartered, Farhan’s first off-campus role was as Management Associate at Citibank Pakistan. He then worked at Barclays in UAE and was associated with Doha bank, Qatar subsequently. Prior to joining Standard Chartered he was the Chief Operating Officer for American Express based out of Dubai. He moved to Singapore in 2017 and is currently leading the Enterprise Risk Review and Operational Effectiveness function at Standard Chartered.

Farhan's strong desire to create a cohesive and vibrant IBA community has propelled him to take on the esteemed role of President of the IBA Singapore Chapter. Previously, he was an office bearer for the student’s body at IBA and has also been part of IBA’s visiting faculty offering electives for MBA students. He is committed to advancing our Alumni’s mission of facilitating information exchange, developing stronger professional networks, and supporting the IBA alma mater residing in Singapore. Spearheading this mission involves nurturing relationships within Singapore and beyond, he looks forward to working together with the IBA Corporate Relations and Alumni Affairs team to further the Chapter’s goals. He is committed to establishing an Alumni community which remains a source of strength and support for its members. His journey, spanning from his early years in Pakistan to his ventures in the Middle East and now in Singapore, serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment, adaptability, and determination to make a positive impact on his alma mater.




Arooj Atique Minhas

MBA - Marketing (Batch 2014) - Resigned as Senior Advisor Marketing at Dell Technologies. Currently in the midst of job applications and interviews

With over 12 years of marketing and sales experience, I am a field and channel marketing expert who has led and executed impactful campaigns across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) and Emerging Markets.

Recently I have completed the Future Leaders Programme at the National University of Singapore to advance my organizational leadership skills.

With a proven track record as an award-winning and analytics-driven marketing leader, I bring to the table 12 years of successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives that enhance brand visibility and drive multi-million revenue growth in both commercial B2B and consumer B2C segments.




Amara Isani

Amara Isani graduated from IBA in 2014 and embarked on her journey armed with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. With a passion for HR, she honed her skills in esteemed companies like Kia Motors, Colgate Palmolive, and Novo Nordisk. However, in 2019, the winds of change led her to Singapore, where she seamlessly continued her HR endeavors and rose through the ranks, undertaking roles as diverse as HR Business Partner and Global Head of HR. In 2023, Amara completed a Master of Science in Global Human Resource Management from the University of Roehampton, UK. Yet, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep-rooted connection to Pakistan, she embarked on a bold new venture. Enter Maeraas, her brainchild, where she collaborates with the skilled artisans of Pakistan. Together, they strive to elevate and showcase the rich tapestry of Pakistani heritage art forms to a global audience, bridging cultures and creating timeless collector-grade masterpieces.




Sameen Khan

Sameen Khan - IBA class of BCS 2004 and MBA 2006 Regional HR Operations Director - APAC at Grey Global Group, a subsidiary of WPP plc and AKQA.

Sameen Khan is a seasoned professional with more than 15 years of work experience in diverse backgrounds spanning tech startups to multinational corporations, including pharmaceutical, telecom, tech, media and advertising sectors. Currently she is spearheading Regional HR Operations and HR Business Partnering for Grey Global Group in Singapore. She brings extensive expertise across the full spectrum of HR functions and previously contributed to the growth of tech telecom Circles.Life. Sameen is also a member of NHRDN SG group and has been a guest speaker in HR Talks.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sameen is a respected community leader with over 15 years of active involvement in various capacities in Singapore, including:

- Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Asst Secretary and Executive Member of River Valley Neighbourhood Committee, now called River   Valley Residents’ Network
- Asst Secretary and EXCO of Residents’ Network Council
- Executive Member of the Henderson-Dawson Citizens’ Consultative Committee

Her dedication to community service earned her the prestigious Public Service Medal (PBM - Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) from the President of Singapore and other Long Service Awards.

She has also been featured in various publications including Stories of Integration: 30 Singaporeans Who Made An Impact, Peoples’ Association 60th Anniversary book launched by the Prime Minister of Singapore, There For You: Residents’ Engagement Amidst Covid-19 series and more.

During her academic years at IBA Karachi, Sameen demonstrated leadership as an active member of the IBA BITS Student Council, holding key positions such as Secretary of the Social Committee and Secretary/Asst Secretary of the Sports Committee.

Sameen is multi-talented and before her IBA years, she represented Pakistan at national and regional Golf tournaments. Besides that, she has also been an avid photographer whose works were recognised on multiple platforms, including the SG International Photographic Awards. Sameen is a proud mother of two young children (That Mama: Sameen Khan), and a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

Being a dedicated and passionate individual, Sameen remains committed to giving back to the IBA community and elevating its alumni presence in Singapore and beyond
