Muneeb Hassan Khaliq
With a total of 13 years of professional experience, Muneeb has held diverse roles across various domains including human resources, procurement, operations, corporate sales, and entrepreneurship. Currently, he is working as an Assistant HR Business Partner and Recruitment Specialist at a leading US-based company in Qatar, where he has been contributing for the past 4 years. Prior to this, he gained 2 years of valuable experience as a procurement and operation lead in a Qatar-based organization. Before moving to Qatar, his career journey in Pakistan also encompasses 7 years of corporate sales experience, demonstrating his abilities to drive business growth and foster client relationships. Additionally, he also ventured into entrepreneurship by founding a startup in Pakistan during year 2016 and 2018. Muneeb completed his MBA from IBA in 2011.
Abdullah Soomro
Abdullah Soomro currently serves as the CEO of My Book, a prominent discovery and savings platform in Qatar. This platform drives new customer traffic to a diverse range of merchants, spanning categories such as food & drinks, fun & leisure, as well as salons & spas. Additionally, My Book provides technology platform and management services to enterprises for designing and implementing loyalty and rewards programs for their customers and employees. Its clients include major entities in various sectors, such as financial services, banking, real estate, insurance, and telecommunications.
Before joining My Book, Abdullah co-founded PerkUp, a platform specializing in customer loyalty, marketing, and business management for small businesses in Pakistan. Preceding this venture, he held a general management position at Aaramshop Pakistan, a marketplace for grocery stores.
Munaf Usmani
Munaf is a seasoned banking professional with over 15 years of experience in investment banking, financial markets and corporate strategy. He currently serves as the Director for Treasury & Markets at QInvest LLC, the largest investment bank in Qatar. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Treasurer at Meezan Bank Limited. Munaf has led several key initiatives for the development of Islamic financial markets, resulting in land mark transactions in Pakistan and Qatar.
Munaf holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, having completed his undergrad from the IBA Karachi as well. He holds various certifications on derivatives and commercial credit, and has taken a keen interest in ESG initiatives. He was elected as a member of the executive committee for the Financial Markets Association of Pakistan, a position he held between 2013 to 2015.
Outside of his professional life, he enjoys time with his family and friends, and his interests include stand-up comedy and movies/TV shows.
Mariam Tameezuddin
Experienced educator with a distinguished academic background, holding an MBA with Gold Medal honors and an MS in Economics. Dedicated to shaping young minds. Decade of teaching expertise across schools, colleges, and universities.
Fouad Siddiqui
Fouad is an experienced strategy and analytics expert in the transportation sector with 10+ years of experience in Market Research, Revenue Management, product development and data analytics. Have a strong focus on product management, improving and designing Strategic processes as well as Developing revenue management/pricing models. He is currently working as Senior Manager Revenue Management at Qatar Airways playing a key role in the strategy and product development.
He has worked in global transportation leaders like Maersk Shipping and Qatar Airways and has led global projects in multiple areas like data analytics, process automation, data science models and loyalty programs. He is also a certified trainer for Qatar Airways and enjoys engaging with new entrants in the aviation as well as analytics world.
Fouad is a graduate of IBA from the batch of 2013 and has been living in Qatar for the last 8 years. Fouad has also been active in the local music scene as a part time musician playing with multiple bands in the country. He also enjoys traditional sports and e-sports in his free time.
Hania Jilanee
Hania is a serial entrepreneur with a flare for the creative arts and a strong desire to be the catalyst for social change. This fusion led to the creation of Carob, a small business focusing on personalized gifts and mementos, and Carob Conscious, the sustainability arm of Carob which focuses on sustainable gifting as well as creating awareness about the environment. Hania has successfully championed several ECO-workshops across different platforms including the Qatar Expo and Earthna, creating awareness in the younger generation about alarming issues plaguing our planet, such as carbon emissions, environmental degradation etc. as well as the importance and ways to manage and reverse the detrimental effects.
Alongside Carob, Hania is currently part of the Qatar Expo 2023, and prior to this, she was the lead for the Climate Change club at Doha College. She holds an MS in Economics from the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, where she was able to secure second position and a Bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics. Her concentration during her academic life was around managing carbon emissions and the calculating the carbon footprint, and she culminated her coursework by calculating the first carbon footprint of IBA Karachi in 2017. She is currently pursuing an advanced certification in Clean Energy from Harvard University.
Following her passion to bring communities together, she is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of FDC, a parent community of the only not-for-profit British school in Qatar with over 2600 students from around 80 different nationalities.
Outside her professional life, Hania is dedicated to her family, and enjoys traveling and culinary fusion.
