The notable guests included: Ms. Nadia Sayeed (Faculty at IBA Karachi), Ms. Faiza Tariq (Group Head People & Culture at HRSG), Mr. Saif Ali (Startup Consultant and Advisor), and Mr. Furqan Kidwai (Co-Founder at YPay). The second panel represented Gen Z with younger professionals who could share their personal journeys and experiences. The forum was welcomed by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi (Executive Director IBA Karachi) with a welcome note by Ms. Malahat Awan (Director Alumni Affairs, Resource Mobilization & Corporate Affairs at IBA Karachi). The event clearly established its focus on connecting with youth through engaging quizzes and audience participation. The audience participated through Kahoot to share their opinions and answer questions about their perception of what Gen Z wants from the workplace.

The key topics under discussion included the “importance of purpose in work” so that Gen Z feel they are adding value through their roles, the reason why the startup culture allures young people is that it provides a lean structure to work directly with leadership and a varied role where they could one day be working in data analytics and the next be attending a meeting for selling the product. The free-flowing conversation sparked the interest of the audience with a Q&A session where students asked their questions from the panelists such as what young people should consider when accepting a job and what kind of roles help them succeed in their professional journey.

The event was possible through the collaboration of Tapal Tea Pvt Ltd, the IBA Alumni Society which managed the on-ground operations, and IBA Karachi. The students were able to win prizes by participating in a quiz and other social activities.
