About IBA Alumni - IBA Advisory Council

After more than 4 years of continued guidance and cooperation in resource mobilization efforts, IBA Advisory Council held its last meeting on Monday, December 08, 2014 at the Sind Club under the Chairmanship of Mr. Tariq Kirmani, former MD PIA and PSO. The Council comprises of distinguished and accomplished professionals from all over Pakistan and abroad, who, through their vast professional and personal network, helped muster funds for IBA's five year strategy.

Mr. Kirmani appreciated the efforts of the members in not only identifying and establishing contacts with the prospective donors but also in helping organize fund raisers. Although the Council will cease to function, members will continue to pursue the target of bridging the shortfall to meet the financial requirements.

The Council first met for a networking session in Sind Club in May 2010 followed by another session in Dubai in December 2010. In February 2013, Advisory Council organized a "Thank you Donors' Dinner" at Frere Hall, Karachi, honoring the generous contribution of major donors. Over the past 4 years, Advisory Council held more than 70 meetings and helped garner funds for IBA in various funds. In 2009, this committee was known as Friends of IBA Committee which was later renamed to IBA Advisory Council.
