The inaugural gathering of the IBA Alumni Karachi Chapter took place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Aman Tower, IBA City Campus Karachi. Attended by over 350 alumni, the event marked a significant milestone in the establishment of this new chapter.
Dr. Dilbar A. Saeed, Vice President of Programs and Partnerships, extended a warm welcome and underscored the importance of fostering connections and reminiscing about shared experiences at IBA. Ms. Malahat Awan, Director of Alumni Affairs, Resource Mobilization & Corporate Affairs, provided insights into the institute's initiatives, highlighting the formation of various chapters worldwide to strengthen the IBA community.
Ms. Azra Maqsood, an IBA alum, led an engaging networking activity, facilitating interaction among attendees and setting a vibrant tone for the evening. Mr. Mukesh Kumar, President of the IBA Alumni Karachi Chapter, outlined the chapter's strategic objectives, emphasizing collaboration with alumni, the institute, and corporate entities to empower graduates and create opportunities.
The event received sponsorship from Bank of Punjab, The Corporate Lunch Box, Nelson Paints, Ba ke Parlor, Chase Value, Tapal Tea, EBM, and Pepsi, demonstrating widespread support for the alumni community. Special guests Mr. Muhammad Sohail, alumni representative at the BoG of IBA, and Dr. Farhan Essa of Essa Labs, shared encouraging words and pledged their backing.
Acknowledgments were extended to sponsors, guests, and distinguished alumni through the presentation of shields, overseen by Mr. Muhammad Asadullah, Vice President of Community Management, and Mr. Aniq Asif, Vice President of Finance. Mr. Zaeem Naqi, Vice President of Marketing, expressed gratitude to all participants, bringing the event to a close.
The evening concluded with lively networking, laughter, a delectable dinner, and entertainment in the form of a musical performance and captivating drum displays.
