Exclusive Movie Screening of ‘Roy’ for IBA Alumni, Faculty and Students

Recently the IBA network of Alumni, students and faculty got the chance to participate in the exclusive first day screening of the Bollywood Block buster movie “Roy”. The screening was the latest in the ongoing social engagement activities being organized to bring the alumni together. The movie was screened on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at Nueplex Cinema and tickets were available at a subsidized rate.

The response received for the activity this time around was overwhelming. Registrations started to come in immediately after the first email was sent and there was a long line of students and alumni waiting to collect their tickets from IRC room, city campus, on the designated day. Given the interest of the community, a second cinema hall was also booked for our enthusiastic movie connoisseurs. But requests for movie tickets continued to come in even after the second batch of tickets had been sold out.

Alumni and their friends and families thoroughly enjoyed the movie and commended the efforts put in to involve the alumni through social activities. Given the increasing interest in these events, it is hoped that the next such gathering will be larger and create more opportunities for the IBA community to mingle and connect.
