Continuing the tradition of organizing engaging and fun social activities for the IBA community, a movie screening of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” was arranged on May 2, 2015 at Nueplex Cinema with tickets being available at a subsidized rate.
Alumni and faculty members made up the audience for the screening as they had responded enthusiastically to the posting made by the Alumni department and grabbed all the available tickets. The movie which is a light hearted, super hero action flick has a massive fan following all across the globe and the IBA community is no different. The cinema hall buzzed with anticipation before the movie started and continued to fill with laugher and gasps of shock as the movie unrolled. While there was general consensus that the movie was a little too long, everyone had a great time watching it with friends and family.
Mr Shahid Shafiq, alumni representative at IBA Board of governors, is responsible for organizing these highly appreciated movie screenings. For further community outreach, he stated that we shall soon be arranging other social events like a musical evening at the City Campus, and talks on various subjects of interest to our alumni and students.
