IBA Alumni Islamabad Chapter Holds Its Annual Iftar Dinner

The IBA Alumni Islamabad Chapter hosted its Annual Iftar Dinner on March 20, 2024, at Shandez Restaurant, Islamabad. The evening witnessed a vibrant turnout, with over 70 alumni gathering to celebrate the enduring bonds forged at their alma mater. The evening commenced with warm greetings and embraces as alumni reconnected with their fellow classmates, sharing anecdotes and memories from their time at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).

The event was meticulously organized by the Islamabad Chapter under the leadership of Raza Chinoy (Chapter President) and his team including Shabbir Halai, Zaid Bin Shahid, Owais Zaidi & Khawar Ikhlas and featured a distinguished guest list that included luminaries from various fields.

Among the notable alumni present were Khurram Rahat, Senior Country Director at Unifonic, and Muhammad Ali, Former Federal Minister for energy.

The Alumni student Society was also in attendance providing support to the organizers and ensuring the alumni were facilitated professionally. They were well-represented, highlighting the commitment of IBA’s students to engage with the alumni and support one another in professional endeavors.

Their presence underscored the significance of networking and collaboration in facilitating career advancement within the community.

A pivotal moment of the evening was the address delivered by Malahat Awan, Director of Alumni Affairs and Resource Mobilization. Ms. Awan articulated the pivotal role of alumni in fostering a tight-knit community and empowering future generations. She emphasized the importance of alumni engagement in providing mentorship, financial assistance, and career guidance to younger members, thereby nurturing a culture of support and solidarity.

During her appreciation note she highlighted the importance of Ramazan and how this month encourages us to give Zakat and alms to others to ensure that our community receives the support it needs to ensure no person is left behind.

The Annual Iftar Dinner served as a poignant reminder of the profound impact of shared experiences and collective endeavors. We look forward to continuing this tradition of fellowship and collaboration, as we strive to strengthen our bonds and make meaningful contributions to our alma mater and society at large.
