Wednesday, May 15, 2019: The IBA Alumni Islamabad Chapter held their Annual Iftar and Reunion at the Qishmisch restaurant owned by an alumnus. The reunion was widely attended by alumni from as far back as 1961 to 2018. Many distinguished IBA Alumni along with Mr. Asad Umer (Ex-Finance Minister of Pakistan) Class of 1984 attended the event.
The highlight of the event was the launching of an IBA Alumni Islamabad Chapter Scholarship Fund by Mr.Raza Chinoy (President – Islamabad Chapter) to raise donations for 2 undergraduate students. Numerous alumni came forward for this noble cause and made pledges to contribute their share in giving back to their alma mater.
The alumni were given name tags with the year of graduation at the registration counter and great enthusiasm was shown by the alumni especially the young graduates who expressed their desire to volunteer for organizing future events.
Alumni parted on a nostalgic note with promises to stay in touch and work together to help complete the setup and efficient running of the scholarship fund.
