- The IBA developed a first of its kind job portal a one-stop solution for the alumni and graduates to look up exciting job opportunities.
- Dedicated to the cause of a greener environment, the IBA planted a record number of 1,300 trees
- Dr. Farrukh Iqbal was appointed as a member of the Economic Advisory Council by the Prime Minister and made the Chairman National Business Education Accreditation Council for four years
- Mr. Asad Umer, Class of 1983, was appointed as the Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs;
- Mr. Zahid Bashir, Class of 1967, received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his contribution in philanthropy;
- Mr. Salman Alvi, Class of 1978, received the Pride of Performance Award for his contribution in music
- Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Class of 1991, became the Acting President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry
