The IBA Alumni Canada Chapter was launched on the 23rd of October 2010 in Toronto Canada with over 150 alumni attending the event. The session started with a special video message from Dr. Ishrat Husain for Canadian alum, which was well-received and a source of encouragement for the attendees. The alumni expressed appreciation of Dr. Ishrat’s personal message and showed enthusiasm in participating future initiatives. The chapter plans to reach out to further alumni in other major cities in of Canada in 2011. The launch generated a lot of allegiance in the alumni and an enthusiastic group of volunteers were quickly identified to work on pillars defined in the presentation. The pillars are: Leadership Excellence, Community Integration, Chapter Development, and Causes and Fund-raising. Planning for initiatives under each pillar for 2011 is already underway despite the busy schedules – a sign of true dedication
